Austinland is one of the best indoor playgrounds in Taipei (our favorite is Wooderfull Land, but this one ranks second place for us). The park is very large and well cared for. And it has something that is missed in the rest of indoor playgrounds: windows! Natural light is always appreciated:-)
There you can find ball pool with slides where you can make rain of balls. Costume area for children and mothers too (you can have a laugh trying on princess costumes, very Taiwanese). Sandbox with toys. Kitchens, supermarket, building blocks area , a little train where children can ride, library... it can give you to spend a whole day.
In addition, they have a lovely cafeteria where parents can wait reading a magazine and having tea or coffee. The food is not bad either, they have very good dumplings, braised pork rice... about 300 NTD per dish. But since you are there, we recommend you better go to eat at the famous restaurant of Beijing duck Xiang Duck. The duck is spectacular here. It is necessary to reserve a table, because it is always very full! You can do it here .
Hours: 10.30-19.00
Cost: 650 NTD for 3h (parents pay 150 NTD, children under 1 year 250 NTD). There is also a 1 hour ticket for 250 NTD, but the children will surely want to stay at least 2 hours (parents have to pay 150 NTD in any case).
How to get there: Banqiao MRT stop, blue line. Take exit 1 and you see HiMall building ahead on the left. Go up to Floor 5.
Note: don't forget to wear socks! otherwise they'll make you buy new ones.
