The Albaicín is the old Arab quarter of Granada. The best thing to do is exploring its intricate streets and discover its lovely squares.
Start on Calle Elvira (leaving from Plaza Nueva), heading up Calle Calderería Nueva on the right. Then continue on Cuesta de San Gregorio until Santa Isabel Real. San Miguel Bajo square (on the left) is stunning.
Keep going on Cuesta Maria de la Miel until Puerta Nueva. Continue on Calle del Agua and turn right onto Calle Pages. Continue until you come to Plazoleta de Fátima. A bit further, walk around Santísima Trinidad Salvador church. From its back, take Cuesta de las Cabras until you come to the Mirador de San Nicolás.
Be careful, as this area is somewhat risky. It is recommended to travel in groups and to avoid unpopulated streets and visits during the siesta hour and at night.
