Short description: opened in 1998, in Namsangol Hanok Village you can find five restored traditional Korean houses (hanoks), in addition to gardens, pavilions and performance stages where different events take place (see agenda on website). The views of the Seoul tower are very nice, but unless you are traveling with kids and want them to run and play freely, this is an atraction you can just skip. In case you go, don't forget to visit the "Time Capsule". A capsule with everyday objects that the locals buried in 1994 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the city, and which is scheduled to open in 2,394, when Seoul turns 1,000 years old. In the gardens of the eastern side you will find traditional Korean games.

How to get there: by subway, exit 3 or 4 Chungmuro Station (Line 3 or 4). You can also get there on foot, it's about 20 minutes walk from Myeongdong shopping street.
