Brief description: with over 600 years of history, Gyeongbokgung was the main palace during the Joseon dynasty. It is much more formal and majestic than the Ch'angdokkung palace, and like the previous one, it is also worth going to see it. The first large building you will find is the Throne Room, perhaps the most photogenic of the complex. There the official ceremonies were performed and the officials gave accounts to the king. Look at the stone path that leads to the building: they have a higher central area that could only be used by the king, while both sides were used by the court. When you go to see the throne room, do not forget to do it also through one of the side windows (besides the central one), since only from there you can admire the wonderful work of the roof with golden dragons. The rest of the complex are the official buildings and residences of the royal family, which can only be observed from outside. You can take a pleasant walk through the entire premises. When you leave the enclosure, do not forget to go to see the majestic main gate of the enclosure on the outside. It is spectacular.
