We recommend returning to the street Vijzelstraat and from here taking Reguliersbreestraat to Rembrandtplein, a square named in memory of the famous painter. It's another hot spot for night life in Amsterdam, full of cafés and balconies especially popular in the summer months. It's also well known for its gay bars.
Continue south down Reguliersgracht and finally take a right on Weteringschans towards Weteringplantsoen, a square with trees and a great place to rest on the banks of the Singelgracht (one of the canals).
After crossing this canal and the street Stadhoudskade you will find the Heineken Experience, where for 18€ they teach you how the beer is made and they let you try 3 samples. Our opinion: it's not worth it, it's expensive and not very interesting (open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00am to 7:00pm).
