- Brief description: it's the only floating flower market in the world. Originally boats loaded with flowers and plants would come, although presently the floating platforms are in fixed positions. A great opportunity to see all types of plants and flowers. We recommend buying tulip bulbs if you visit the city in the spring. They are a great reminder of the city and if you plant them once, they will come back every year! (you can buy bags of 100 bulbs for around €7-10).
- Location: on the Singel canal between Muntplein and Koningsplan.
- How to get there: walking, on bicycle, or by tram (4, 9, 14, 16, 24, and 25). If you go on bicycle you'll need to lock it up outside, as riding through the market is prohibited.
- Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm. Sunday from 11:00am to 5:30pm.
