Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City

Arrival at Mexico City International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Walk through the city. Night in Mexico City. 

Day 2: México City

Walk through the Zocalo, historic centre of Mexico City. Visit to the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, famous for hosting the ruins of Tenochtitlan, the great Aztec city. Walk along Madero street. Night in Mexico City. 

Day 3: Mexico City: Teotihuacan and Guadalupe

Visit to Teotihuacan pyramids. Visit to Virgin of Guadalupe Shrine. Walk through the bohemian Coyoacan district. Night in Mexico City. 

Day 4: Mexico City

Visit to the Antropology Museum of Mexico, where the best preserved remnants of pre-columbian culture are kept. Transfer by rental car to Poza Rica, the closest city to the Tajin Archeological Ruins. Night in Poza Rica. 

Day 5: Visit to El Tajin Archaeological Site

Visit to El Tajin Archaeological ruins, which are very unique due to their different and beautiful pyramids. Transfer to Puebla. Night in Puebla. 

Day 6: Puebla

Visit to the beautiful city of Puebla, enjoying the colourful buildings and the cheerful streets. Transfer to Oaxaca. Night in Oaxaca. 

Day 7: Oaxaca

Visit to Monte Alban Archaeological Site, the best representation of Zapotec culture. Walk through Oaxaca streets. Night in Oaxaca. 

Day 8: Return to Mexico City and Flight to Merida

Return to Mexico City. Drop off rental car. Flight to Merida. Walk through this beautiful colonial city. Night in Merida. 

Day 9: Chichen Itza

Visit to Chichen Itza Archaeological Ruins, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Visit to Uxmal ruins on the way back. Return to Mérida. Night in Merida. 

Day 10: Transfer to Palenque

Transfer to Palenque by bus. This city hosts Palenque Archaeological Site. Walk through the city. Night in Palenque. 

Day 11: Palenque Archaeological Ruins

Visit to Palenque, a beautiful ruined city set among the steep foothills and dense jungles at the base of the Chiapas Highlands. Night in Palenque. 

Day 12: Transfer to San Cristóbal de las Casas

Transfer by minivan to San Cristobal de las Casas, stopping at Misol Há and Agua Azul waterfalls. Night in San Cristobal de las Casas. 

Day 13: San Cristóbal de las Casas and San Juan Chamula

Walk through the city centre. Visit to San Juan Chamula and the San Juan Bautista Church, where you will be able to observe the pagan and Christian rituals of the area. Night in San Cristobal de las Casas. 

Day 14: Sumidero Canyon and flight to Cancun

Boat trip through El Cañón del Sumidero, a 40km canyon excavated by the Grijalva River. Flight to Cancun.

Day 15: Isla Mujeres

Transfer to Isla Mujeres (Women Island). Visit to the Lighthouse. Relax on the beach. Night in Playa del Carmen. 

Day 16: Cozumel

Transfer to Cozumel, another beautiful island in front of Puerto del Carmen. Great for beaches and diving. Night in Playa del Carmen. 

Day 17: Visit to Tulum Ruins

Visit to Tulum ruins. Placed right next to the Caribbean Sea, Tulum is one of the most beautiful ruins in Mexico. Transfer to Playa del Carmen. Night in Playa del Carmen. 

Day 18: Holbox

Transfer by bus to Holbox, one of the few Mexican paradises that are not crowded with tourists (yet). Night in Holbox. 

Day 19: Holbox: Whale Sharks

Boat trip to watch the whale sharks, the biggest fishes on Earth. They wander Holbox coast from June 1st to September 15th. Night in Holbox. 

Day 20: Holbox

Relax on Holbox beaches: sunbathing, biking along the shore, sailing, kayaking... Night in Holbox. 

Day 21: Flight back home

Return to Cancun. Flight back home.
