Shirakawago has several restaurants like the Karyudo (No. 19 on the village map), where we recommend the Set hamburger or the Set Udon (thick noodle soup). Cost: around 1,000¥ per person.
Gallery Kyosyu, a genuine experience, is worth a visit after lunch. They only serve coffee and orange juice, and you drink it in typical Japanese tatamis. The whole gallery is surrounded by large windows and offers spectacular views. Coffee costs around 500¥ per person. No. 18 on the map (in front of the bell tower).
