- Brief description: Roppongi Hills is another small city of skyscrapers within Tokyo. The main tower (Mori Tower) is home to a contemporary art museum, an interior viewpoint with views over the whole city and another recently built viewpoint in the open air. It is worth visiting to see the views of the city by night. The best view of the Tokyo Tower is from here.
- Opening times: the interior viewpoint is open every day from 10.00-23.00 (until 1.00 on Friday and Saturday). The open-air viewpoint opens only when the weather is good 10.00-19.00. The Mori Art Museum opens every day from 10.00-22.00 (until 17.00 on Tuesday). Arrive at least 30 min. before closing time to be let in!
- Duration of visit: 1 hr 30 min. (although you can stay at the viewpoint for as long as you want).
- Cost: 1,500¥ per person for the viewpoint. The museum ticket price varies according to the exhibition, although you can usually get into the museum with the ticket for the viewpoint.
- How to get there: take the JR Yamamote line to Ebisu station (Shibuya-bound) from where you should change to the Hibiya metro line and take the metro to Roppongi station (20 min, JR covered by the JRP (150¥ without JRP), metro will cost 160¥).
