- Brief description: built in 593 in Miyajima island, it is considered to be the guardian of the sea. It is composed of more than 20 buildings, but we highlight: the main temple with its incredible view of the O-Torii (the famous gate), the Noh theater, the music rooms and other tiny temples connected by roads and galleries. Its design and intense colours makes the Itsukushina one of the most beautiful Shinto temples that exist in Japan. Viewing it from outside is enough.
