- Brief description: Santa María Maggiore is known for being the Roman Catholic Church which is most faithful to its origins, as it hardly has any modern elements. The bell tower is very noticeable as it is the biggest in Rome. It does not give you the best view of the city but for the beauty of its interior, and the fact that it is on your way, it is not a bad idea to take a look.
