- Brief description: public 80 hectare park which contains several buildings, museums and attractions. You could spend the whole morning walking round the gardens but our advice is to go in through the entrance at the end of Via Vittorio Veneto and continue along Viale dell Musseo Borghese until you reach the Borghese Gallery, an old neo-classical casino from the XVII century converted today into a museum (works by Titian and Caravaggio among others). Pick up a map of the park here and walk to the Pincio viewpoint, above the Piazza del Popolo, from where you can get some good views of the city (20min).
- Length of visit: minimum 3h (visit to the Gallery plus the walk in the gardens and the viewpoint).
- Opening times: the Borghese Gallery opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 08.30 to 19.30 (last admission 30min before closing time).
- Cost: entrance to park is free. To see the Gallery you must book on the official web. Cost 13.50? (there are discounts for EU citizens).
- How to get there: 30min on foot from Termini station. A walk through a very pleasant area.
