- Brief description: little remains of what was once one of the biggest and most luxurious bathing complexes in imperial Rome. Its ruins were robbed of their sculptures and other riches and the only things preserved are some large mosaic fragments that decorated its walls, floors and ceilings. Even the giant marble baths, sculpted from a single block, were moved to the centre of Rome to be used as fountains.
