• Brief description: we suggest that you hire a car for this day and travel to Milan passing by the spectacular Lago di Como. George Clooney is one of the many famous owners of a villa in the area, in his case in the small village of Laglio. The scenery will also look familiar because Amidala´s palace was here in the "Attack of the Clones" episode of Star Wars. We recommend stopping to take in the views but above all you should go to Bellagio, a picturesque village at the intersection of the lake´s two arms. From there you will see the impressive Alps to the north. If you feel like eating in Bellagio, you must try the Ristorante Antico Pozzo, on Salita Mella Street, 26. It lacks a good view but it does have an airy terrace. The pizzas are very good (8-10€) and the caprese salad is a knock-out (8-10€). It opens every day from 12.00-23.00h, and during summer opens all day. If you are not too tired before you arrive in Milan, you can stop briefly in Como (capital of the region) and stroll through the old part of the town.
