• Brief description: pretty town on the shores of a natural port. Famous for being the shopping zone and play area of the "jet set", its streets are full of shops and jewellers´ of the best designers. Its port is crammed with luxury yachts next to which it is a surprise to see the small boats of local fishermen going out for or returning from a day´s fishing. The buildings are typical of Ligure: brightly painted houses, tall and narrow, all stuck one next to the other. As well as walking through the town and port, it is worth carrying on to Brown castle and the church of San Giorgio. The ideal thing is to arrive when it is still light and time your walk up to the church of San Giorgio with the sunset.
• How to get there: take a boat in San Fruttuoso. Departures are at 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 15.30, 16.30 and 17.30. You can also walk there from San Fruttuoso in 1h30min but only do that on days when the sea is rough (and even then you must bear in mind that it is a long hike).
