- Brief description: after the Summer Palace, we recommend visiting the Olympic Park and seeing from the outside its two most popular buildings: the nest-shaped National Stadium and the National Aquatics Centre, with its curious walls. If you have time and are interested, you can visit the interior of both. In the first you can ski and in the second go for a swim.
- Duration of visit: 1 hr (only seeing the buildings from the outside).
- Hours: National Stadium from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. National Aquatics Centre from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Cost: National Stadium: 50CNY entrance fee. National Ski Stadium: 80-140CNY entrance fee. National Stadium plus National Ski Stadium: 120-180CNY. Aquatics Centre: 30CNY entrance fee. Swimming in the Aquatics Centre: 50CNY (2h. from 2:00pm to 7:00pm from Tuesday to Sunday) .
- How to get there: we recommend arriving by bike. From the Forbidden City, it's 45 minutes due north and from the Summer Palace, one hour heading east. If you prefer the metro, take Line 8 and get off at the Olympic Sports Center Station. Proceed to exit B1 or B2.
