Hopefully, you will be able to see the falls under the light of the full moon. Overnight in Puerto Iguazu.

In the Trip Planner you will find how to visit the falls on your own. We also propose the best route to enjoy them to the fullest. Night in Puerto Iguazu.

Day 8: From Iguazu to El Calafate

Take this day with calm because you will be flying from northern Argentina to the southernmost: Patagonia. The Trip Planner will indicate you where to book tickets at the best price, how to get to the airport in Puerto Iguazu and how to get from El Calafate airport to the city center. We also recommend an authentic restaurant with wonderful views to have dinner on your first night in El Calafate.

Although it can be a bit expensive, you cannot miss the Mini-Trek on Perito Moreno glacier, equipped with crampons and all necessary materials to have a real experience on the ice. Almost as spectacular or more than Perito Moreno is the cruise that sails along the north branch of Lake Argentino, watching the Upsala, Spegazzini, Onelli, May and Agaziz glaciers (October to May). Ii is impressive to see icebergs floating on the lake. Depending on ice conditions, sometimes the navigation can be limited or suspended but it is not common. Night in El Calafate.

Fly to Trelew or Puerto Madryn and from there, take a bus or rent a car to get to Peninsula Valdes. The Trip Planner will explain you how book these transports and how to get to Puerto Piramides. Route around Valdes Peninsula to enjoy the views and wildlife of this place.
